Birthday Present Box

This box was designed as a "birthday present" from a grandmother to her teenage granddaughter. The motif was to capture a spiritual message (discussed in the provenance) as well as the activities and hobbies of the granddaughter.
The grandchilds' nickname "Angel" was carved on the front plaque. A message the grandmother wanted to pass along to her granddaughter was carved on the underside of the lid.
